PORTSMOUTH, RI (August 8, 2011) - A2B Tracking Solutions President Peter Collins is announcing that Gary Schuerfeld has joined the company as Program Manager for the company’s diverse and expanding portfolio of DoD and other UID technology programs. Schuerfeld is currently leading the company’s US Air Force UID Part Marking Team, which is charged with marking assets and cleansing the data at 221 Air Force installations around the world. He is also responsible for leading A2B’s US Army project team, which is charged with providing advanced UID solutions to the Army Material Command (AMC), to include deploying Seek and Apply marking teams for the 21st TSC command for USAREUR.
Prior to joining A2B Tracking, Schuerfeld held the position of Director of Strategic Programs at Materials Sciences Corporation (MSC), where he was responsible for the development of proprietary composite applications for military platforms. In addition, he was Director of Military Programs at TPI Composites, Inc. Collins says, “Gary’s prior roles supporting military programs and initiatives has afforded him an opportunity to work directly with the Department of Defense. We look to him to leverage that experience to support our business with the DoD and its contractors.” A mechanical engineer, Schuerfeld has extensive experience in manufacturing for the military, having held senior roles in program, operations and production management.
