A2B Tracking Wins US Army UID Pilot Program Contract

 

A2B Tracking Solutions Inc., the world’s largest US Department of Defense IUID program partner, has been selected to implement its seek and apply IUID marking management program for Army Material Command (AMC) 21st Theater Sustainment Command (TSC) at Pirmasens, Germany.

“This contract allows A2B to demonstrate our scalable, hardened IUID program for an important US Army command,” says Program Manager Gary Schuerfeld. “This program builds on the success we have had at other US Army depots, including Red River and Letterkenny.”

Under terms of the contract, A2B personnel will provide an integrated IUID solution to include a data capture program for legacy assets, encompassing full IUID marking, tracking and registration support utilizing UID Comply!® data management and tracking software. The contract also calls for engineering support to enable trained seek and apply asset marking teams in the field. Ultimately the contract will provide AMC with an interoperable IUID solution.

A2B has partnered with the University of Alabama’s Reliability and Failure Analysis Lab Research Institute, under Contract # W31P4Q-10-D-0092. With a value of $1.7 million, the contract completion date is 31 Dec 2011.
