A2B Tracking Solutions Announces Two UID Comply!® Updates
PORTSMOUTH, RI (March 24, 2008) - A2B Tracking Solutions Inc, the leading provider of unique identification (UID) compliance products and services, is announcing the release of two new versions of UID Comply!® during the first quarter of 2008.
UID Comply! ® v1.8.1.1 for End Item Deliverables
According to Product Manager Jim Daniels, UID Comply!® v 1.8.1.1 for End Item Deliverables, which is Schema 3.4 compliant, is now fully integrated with Seagull Scientific’s Bartender® software, a top design application for creating MIL STD 130 labels with bar codes. Users select their UIDs and the correct label and then click Print for one-touch printing of any custom label, in seconds. "This integration makes the management and creation of MIL STD 130 labels truly simple," says Daniels.
Another enhanced feature of UID Comply! v1.8.1.1 is that embedded item relationships can be imported along with pedigree data and UIDs. This allows users to accept files from sub contractors and import the already established relationships into their system, thus assigning data to the prime contractors acquisition data.
In addition,
UID Comply! V1.8.1.1 now enables UID construct 2 creation using
batch/lot numbers in addition to part numbers. UID construct 2 is a
combination of enterprise ID, part number or batch/lot number and
serial number. According to current standards, the client may choose to
use either batch/lot or part number for the creation of the UIDs.
UID Comply! Validator™ v2.1.3.2
UID Comply! Validator v2.1.3.2 has been updated with UID validation algorithms to support changes in MIL-STD-130 N. With these updates, proper validation of all enterprise identifiers allowed in UID creation as well as batch or lot codes used in place of part numbers is ensured. A2B consistently updates UID Comply! Validator code in order to accommodate the progression of UID policy.
